Homam / Hawan

Homam

Any “ritual in offerings” made into a dedicated fireplace is referred to by the Sanskrit term “homa” or “homam.” Homam/havan is another name for it. Homas are an important religious practise in Hinduism, where they are used in almost all ceremonies, regardless of creed or caste.

Various rituals are performed sequentially during a Homa in order to trigger various positive energies and also to develop the proper sensation during the Homa. Some of these rituals are common and must be performed prior to performing any fire ritual. Following the completion of these rituals, the main Homa would begin, with the rituals differing depending on which deity you wish to invoke.

Homas is an ancient form of sacrament derived from “Vedic Science.” A Homa can help you get better, have better relationships, find a partner, have children, and it can even remove bad karma or negative aspects in your horoscope or Vastu.

The devotee’s spiritual connection with the divine is an important part of the fire ritual. Most of the time, that contact is made possible by an external object: a natural facet, a figurine, a vessel, a painting of God, and so on.

Mantras are then chanted to summon the Almighty to the vortex. A fire ritual contains a number of standard procedures that are intended to elicit the devotee’s devotional side – worship and devoutness.
